Product description

IDP.03 Vibration Measurement and Monitoring Sensor

The IDP.03 Displacement Monitoring Module (DMM) is designed for non-contact measurement and monitoring of relative displacement of rotating and non-rotating equipment parts (units, machines, and mechanisms).

The IDP.03 Displacement Monitoring Module is used both as a standalone module for measurement, alarm signaling, and protection of machines and mechanisms against exceeding emergency threshold levels of monitored parameters, and as part of the “PULS 1.02” monitoring and measuring system, process control automation systems (PCS/SCADA), or other automated systems.

Composition of the IDP.03 Vibration Displacement Measurement Sensor

The IDP.03 Displacement Monitoring Module consists of:

  • a non-contact single-channel eddy-current primary measuring transducer (PMT) of the PP-IP.03 type;

  • a measuring converter (MC) of the FP-P type.

The IDP.03 Displacement Monitoring Module (DMM) provides:

  • continuous measurement of current values of relative displacement of rotating and non-rotating equipment parts;

  • monitoring and alarm signaling for exceeding emergency threshold levels (4 levels) of relative displacement;

  • transmission of measured relative displacement values via the RS-485 serial interface to external recording and visualization devices;

  • fault signaling for the primary measuring transducer (PMT), including short circuit or open circuit conditions in the communication line between the PMT and the measuring converter (MC);

  • transmission of information on emergency events and faults via the RS-485 serial interface to external recording and visualization devices;

  • generation of discrete output signals for events of reaching emergency threshold levels of relative displacement for external alarm systems;

  • generation of a standardized 4–20 mA DC analog output signal proportional to the relative displacement;

  • automatic compensation of ambient temperature influence (temperature compensation) on the measured relative displacement value;

  • automatic functional self-diagnostics.
